Is it cheaper to buy from the supermarket?
Our rolls are double the size of standard rolls, making them last twice as long and cost less per sheet than the supermarket average. So you can get affordable, sustainable toilet roll while supporting the movements you believe in.
We know that buying in bulk requires extra storage space and a larger upfront cost. We're aiming to introduce more box sizes as we grow, but we've started with 48 and 24 roll boxes to offer you the best possible value – plus the convenience of never running out!
Are Clean Sheet rolls sustainable?
Yes! Our rolls are made from 100% sustainable, FSC-certified bamboo – a fast-growing, fully regenerative alternative to traditional tree pulp. Our packaging is plastic-free, using only FSC-certified bamboo and recycled paper.
We’re committed to sustainable production and will continue to minimise our climate impact as we grow. But we know true sustainability means fighting a system that prioritises profit over the planet. That's why we've committed to funding organisations demanding climate action and environmental justice.
There are loads of toilet roll businesses, why is Clean Sheet better?
We're better because we give 100%. Clean Sheet was created with one simple objective: to transform our everyday spending into funding for real change. We’re a business that's completely uninterested in making any money (for ourselves!) – which is pretty rare.
But this doesn’t mean we compromise on quality or sustainability. You get soft, strong bamboo toilet roll, and the chance to stand up (or sit down) for the issues you believe in.
Who gets the money? How will it help?
Clean Sheet was created to fund the fight against inequality in the UK, with our initial partners focusing on housing justice, climate action, and workers' rights.
We invest in long-term partnerships so we can offer secure, scalable funding. This provides grassroots groups with vital, unrestricted resources, so they can build towards lasting change.
We'll share updates from our partners so you can see exactly where your money is going and the difference it makes.
How can you run a business while giving away 100% of your profits?
Simple – we set up Clean Sheet to change the system, not get rich. Once we've covered operational costs and paid fair salaries, our partner organisations get 100% of the profit that would usually go to shareholders.
We don't get around this with clever tricks like inflated salaries or big bonuses. We will publish all of our costs once we’ve been operating for six months so you can check up on us!
